SAMARA O’GORMAN is an Irish-Canadian actress, writer, and singer. Her first poetry collection, What If The Sun Died has become a #1 bestseller. Samara is known as a community poet in Montreal and often shares her poems at schools, ceremonies, and other public events. She holds a BA in Irish Studies from Concordia University and a DEC in Professional Theatre from John Abbott College. While completing her Bachelor’s degree, she became a recognized scholar by the Government of Ireland for her academic achievement and fluency in the Irish language. Her academic research focuses on folklore, poetry, and landscape. Samara enjoys visiting schools in Montreal and the surrounding areas as a featured speaker. She discusses topics such as compassionate leadership, self-love, and poetry during her presentations. Currently, Samara resides in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue where she enjoys drinking copious amounts of tea, acting on stage and in film, writing, immersing herself in Irish culture, and is always in the midst of creating new works of art.

July's Return is a pocketbook anthology of original poems inspired by the twelve months of the year. Each poem is accompanied by an original watercolour painting by the author. The collection encourages the discovery of beauty and inspiration in the unlikeliest of places, moments, and subjects.
What If The Sun Died is O'Gorman's debut collection of poetry on grief, love, and healing. A portion of every book sold is being donated to jack.org, a Canadian non-profit organization focused on youth mental health and suicide prevention.
